It is narrated by Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who states: Thursday! And what a Thursday it was! Then he wept until his tears soaked the pebbles. He said: On Thursday, the illness of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) became severe. He declared: "Bring me writing materials so that I may write for you a document after which you shall never go astray." The people disputed, though dispute is not befitting in the presence of a the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). They said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is overwhelmed (by illness). He declared: "Leave me, for what I am in is better than what you are calling me to." And at the time of his passing, he made three bequests: "Expel the polytheists from the Arabian Peninsula, and honour the delegations as I used to honour them." And I forgot the third. Ya'qub bin Muhammad says: I asked Hadrat al-Mughira bin Abdur-Rahman about the Arabian Peninsula. He said: Makkah, Madinah, al-Yamama, and Yemen. Ya'qub says: al-'Arj is the beginning of Tihama.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: جمعرات کا دن! اور جمعرات کا دن کیا ہے! پھر رونے لگے یہاں تک کہ ان کے آنسوؤں نے کنکریاں بھگو دیں۔ فرمایا: جمعرات کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا مرض شدید ہو گیا تو آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: "میرے پاس لکھنے کا سامان لاؤ، میں تمہارے لیے ایک تحریر لکھ دوں جس کے بعد تم کبھی گمراہ نہ ہوگے۔" لوگوں نے جھگڑا کیا، حالانکہ نبی کے سامنے جھگڑا مناسب نہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر (بیماری کا) غلبہ ہو گیا ہے۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مجھے چھوڑو، میں جس حال میں ہوں وہ اس سے بہتر ہے جس کی طرف تم مجھے بلا رہے ہو۔" اور وفات کے وقت تین وصیتیں فرمائیں: "مشرکین کو جزیرۃ العرب سے نکال دو، وفود کا اسی طرح اکرام کرو جیسے میں کیا کرتا تھا۔" اور تیسری میں بھول گیا۔ یعقوب بن محمد فرماتے ہیں: میں نے مغیرہ بن عبدالرحمٰن سے جزیرۃ العرب کے بارے میں پوچھا تو فرمایا: مکہ، مدینہ، یمامہ اور یمن۔ اور یعقوب فرماتے ہیں: عرج تہامہ کی ابتداء ہے۔
