حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَفَعَهُ فَقَالَ أَعْظَمُ الْعِيَادَةِ أَجْرًا أَخَفُّهَا وَالتَّعْزِيَةُ مُرَّةٌ وَأَحْسَبُ أَنَّ ابْنَ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَالْكَلَامُ فَلَا نَحْفَظُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated, attributing it to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who said: "The most rewarding visit to the sick is the briefest, and offering condolences is done once." I believe that Ibn Abi Fudayk did not hear this from Ali ibn Umar ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, and this statement is not preserved from the Prophet except through this chain.
