Al-Hasan ibn Qaza'ah narrated to us, Sufyan ibn Habib narrated to us, Ash'ath narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him), that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his Companions began the Talbiyah for both Hajj and Umrah. When they arrived in Makkah, they performed Tawaf around the House, and between Safa and Marwah. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded them to exit from ihram, but they were hesitant about that. So the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Exit from ihram, for were it not that I have the sacrificial animal with me, I would have exited from ihram.» So they exited from ihram to the extent that they became permissible to their women. We do not know anyone who narrated this hadith from al-Hasan, from Anas except Ash'ath ibn Abd al-Malik.
