Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, he said: Abd ar-Razzaq informed us, he said: Sufyan ath-Thawri informed us from Malik ibn Mighwal from Ibn Burayda from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard a man saying: "O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that You are Allah, there is no god but You, the One, the Eternal Refuge, who neither begets nor was begotten, and there is none comparable to You." He said: "He has asked Allah by His Name which, when He is called upon by it, He responds, and when He is asked by it, He gives." This hadith, we do not know anyone who narrated it from Abdullah ibn Burayda except Malik ibn Mighwal.
