قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ يَرُدُّ عَلَى كُلِّ وَارِثٍ الْفَضْلَ بِحِصَّةِ مَا وَرَّثَ غَيْرَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالزَّوْجِ 12407 وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ لَا يَرُدُّ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ وَلَا زَوْجٍ وَلَا ابْنَةِ ابْنٍ مَعَ ابْنَةِ الصُّلْبِ وَلَا عَلَى أُخْتٍ لِأَبٍ مَعَ أُخْتٍ لِأَبٍ وَأُمٍّ وَلَا عَلَى إِخْوَةٍ لِأُمٍّ مَعَ أُمٍّ وَلَا عَلَى جَدَّةٍ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ وَارِثٌ غَيْرُهَا 12407 وَكَانَ زَيْدٌ لَا يَرُدُّ عَلَى وَارِثٍ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلُهُ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ وَارِثٌ غَيْرُهَا 12407 وَكَانَ زَيْدٌ لَا يَرُدُّ عَلَى وَارِثٍ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلُهُ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: And Muhammad ibn Salim informed me from al-Sha'bi who said: Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to return the surplus to every heir proportionate to their inheritance share, except for the wife and husband. And Abdullah used to not return anything to a wife, husband, a granddaughter along with a daughter, a paternal half-sister along with a full sister, maternal siblings along with a mother, or a grandmother unless there was no other heir. And Zayd did not return anything to any heir and placed it in the public treasury.
