وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَيُّوبَ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ فِي امْرَأَةٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ أَنَّهُ جَعَلَهَا مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أَسْهُمٍ لِلْمَرْأَةِ الرُّبُعُ سَهْمٌ وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا بَقِيَ سَهْمٌ وَلِلْأَبِ مَا بَقِيَ

And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us: Abu al-Abbas narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Talib informed us: Yazid ibn Harun informed us: Sufyan al-Thawri narrated from Ayyub al-Sikhtiyani from Abu Qilabah from Abu al-Muhallab from Uthman regarding a wife and two parents: He divided it into four shares - one share for the wife (one-quarter), one share for the mother (one-third of the remainder), and the remainder for the father.
