حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يَغِيبُ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ أَيُجَامِعُ أَهْلَهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

Ma'mar ibn Sulayman told us: al-Hajjaj told us, from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, a man is away and cannot find water - may he have intercourse with his wife? He said: Yes.
