حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ فَإِنَّ رَأْسَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مِنْهَا لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَوَهَلَ النَّاسُ فِي مَقَالَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِلْكَ إِلَى مَا يُحَدِّثُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ عَنْ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ فَإِنَّمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ يَنْخَرِمُ ذَلِكَ الْقَرْنُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Yaman told us, Shu'ayb told us, from al-Zuhri, Salim ibn Abdullah ibn Umar and Abu Bakr ibn Abi Hathma told us, that Abdullah ibn Umar said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed the Isha prayer near the end of his life, and when he had finished, he said: "Do you see this night of yours? At the turn of a hundred years from tonight, not one of those now upon the face of the earth will remain." Abdullah said: The people became confused about this statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in relation to the reports they narrate about a hundred years, whereas the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, only said "not one of those now upon the face of the earth will remain," meaning that that generation would pass away.
