حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ أَوْ دَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَدْ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, from Sulayman, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Murrah, from Masruq, from Abdullah, that he said: "He is not one of us who strikes the cheeks, tears the garments, or calls with the call of the Jahiliyyah." Sulayman said, "And I think he attributed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
