He said: When I wanted to leave, she said, "Sit, so that I may narrate to you a hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." She said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out one day and prayed the midday prayer, then sat down, and the people became alarmed, so he said, "Sit down, O people; I have not taken this stand of mine out of alarm, but Tamim al-Dari came to me and told me news that kept me from my midday nap out of joy and delight, and I wished to spread among you the joy of your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He informed me that a group from his kinsmen's tribe sailed the sea, and a violent wind struck them, driving them to an island they did not know. They sat in the ship's small boat until they came ashore on the island, and there they encountered something shaggy, covered in hair, and they could not tell whether it was a man or a woman. They greeted it, and it returned their greeting. They said, 'Will you not tell us something?' It said, 'I will not tell you anything, nor ask you anything, but you have come upon this monastery, in which is one who is eager, with longing, to tell you and to ask you.' They said: We said, 'What are you?' It said, 'I am the Jassasah.' So they went on until they came to the monastery, and there they found a man bound with a strong binding, showing sorrow, and complaining much. They greeted him and he returned their greeting, and said, 'Who are you?' They said, 'From the Arabs.' He said, 'What have the Arabs done - has their prophet emerged yet?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'And what have the Arabs done?' They said, 'Good - they believed in him and accepted him as true.' He said, 'That is better for them. He had an enemy, and Allah made him prevail over them.' He said, 'Are the Arabs today united in one god, one religion, and one word?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'What has become of the spring of Zughar?' They said, 'It is good; its people drink from it to their satisfaction and water their crops from it.' He said, 'What has become of the palm trees between Amman and Baysan?' They said, 'They are good, bearing fruit every year.' He said, 'What has become of the Lake of Tiberias?' They said, 'It is full.' He then sighed, then sighed again, then sighed a third time, and swore, 'If I got out of this place of mine, I would leave no land of Allah's earth without treading upon it, except Tayyibah; I have no authority over it.'" He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "This is the point at which my joy has reached its height" - three times - "Tayyibah is Medina; Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden the Dajjal to enter it." Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, swore, "By Allah, besides Whom there is no god, it has no path, narrow or wide, in plain or mountain, but upon it stands an angel with drawn sword, until the Day of Resurrection; the Dajjal cannot enter it against its people." Amir said: I met al-Muharrar ibn Abi Hurayrah and narrated to him the hadith of Fatimah bint Qays, and he said, "I testify concerning my father that he narrated to me just as Fatimah narrated to you, except that he said the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'He is in the direction of the East.'" He said: Then I met al-Qasim ibn Muhammad and mentioned to him the hadith of Fatimah, and he said, "I testify concerning Aishah that she narrated to me just as Fatimah narrated to you, except that she said, 'The two sanctuaries are forbidden to him: Mecca and Medina.'"
