حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى يَوْمًا فَسَلَّمَ وَانْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ بَقِيَ مِنْ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةٌ فَأَدْرَكَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ نَسِيتَ مِنْ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَرَجَعَ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ رَكْعَةً فَأَخْبَرْتُ بِذَلِكَ النَّاسَ فَقَالُوا لِي أَتَعْرِفُ الرَّجُلَ قُلْتُ لَا إِلَّا أَنْ أَرَاهُ فَمَرَّ بِي فَقُلْتُ هُوَ هَذَا فَقَالُوا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hajjaj told us, he said: Layth told us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me that Suwayd ibn Qays informed him, from Mu'awiyah ibn Hudayj: that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed one day, gave the salam and departed while a rak'ah of the prayer remained. A man caught up with him and said: "You forgot a rak'ah of the prayer." So he returned, entered the mosque, and ordered Bilal, who called the iqamah, and he prayed with the people one rak'ah. I informed the people of that, and they said to me: "Do you know the man?" I said: "No, unless I see him." Then he passed by me and I said: "That is him." They said: "That is Talhah ibn Ubaydullah, may Allah be pleased with him."
