حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُنْذِرِ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ وَعَلِيٌّ نَاقِهٌ مِنْ مَرَضٍ وَلَنَا دَوَالٍ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا وَقَامَ عَلِيٌّ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا فَطَفِقَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِعَلِيٍّ مَهْ إِنَّكَ نَاقِهٌ حَتَّى كَفَّ قَالَتْ وَصَنَعْتُ شَعِيرًا وَسِلْقًا فَجِئْتُ بِهِ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ مِنْ هَذَا أَصِبْ فَهُوَ أَنْفَعُ لَكَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُنْذِرِ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ وَعَلِيٌّ نَاقِهٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَعَلْتُ لَهُمْ سِلْقًا وَشَعِيرًا قَالَ أَبِي وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَ فَزَارَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو سِلْقًا.

Abu 'Amir narrated to us, he said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'sa'ah, from Ya'qub ibn Abi Ya'qub, from Umm al-Mundhir bint Qays al-Ansariyyah, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me with 'Ali, and 'Ali was convalescing from an illness, and we had hanging bunches of dates. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and ate from them, and 'Ali stood up and ate from them, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, began saying to 'Ali: Stop, you are still convalescing, until he desisted. She said: And I had prepared barley and chard, and I brought it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to 'Ali: Take from this, for it is more beneficial for you. Yunus narrated to us, he said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Ya'qub ibn Abi Ya'qub, from Umm al-Mundhir al-'Adawiyyah, she said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me with 'Ali, and 'Ali was convalescing, and he mentioned the hadith, except that he said: Then I made for them chard and barley. My father said: And likewise Fazarah ibn 'Amr said 'chard.'
