Yahya b. Sa'id told us, from Hisham, who said my father informed me, from Zaynab bint Umm Salamah, from Umm Salamah, who said: Umm Sulaym said, "O Messenger of Allah, Allah is not shy of the truth - must a woman perform a ritual bath if she has a wet dream?" He said, "Yes, if she sees the wetness." Umm Salamah laughed and said, "Does a woman have wet dreams?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then how does the child resemble [its mother]?"
