Abd al-Razzaq told us: Sufyan informed us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abis, from his father Abis ibn Rabi'a, from Aisha - he said: We asked her: 'Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days?' She said: 'He only said that in a year when the people were suffering hunger, and he wanted the rich to feed the poor. We used to save the shank of meat and eat it after fifteen days.' I said: 'What compelled you to do that?' She laughed and said: 'The family of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, never had their fill of bread with any relish for three nights in a row until he met Allah, Mighty and Majestic.'
