حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَقْرَأُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ جَالِسًا حَتَّى دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ وَكَانَ إِذَا بَقِيَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثُونَ آيَةً أَوْ أَرْبَعُونَ قَامَ فَقَرَأَهَا ثُمَّ سَجَدَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Razzaq told us: Sufyan informed us, from Hisham ibn Urwa, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, never recited any part of the night prayer sitting until he grew advanced in age. And whenever thirty or forty verses remained for him to recite, he would stand and recite them, then prostrate.
