Affan told us: Hammad ibn Salama told us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from al-Hasan, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned a severe hardship that would occur before the Dajjal. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, where will the Arabs be at that time?' He said: 'O Aisha, the Arabs at that time will be few.' I said: 'What food will suffice the believers at that time?' He said: 'What suffices the angels: glorification, magnification, praise, and declaring Allah's oneness.' I said: 'Which wealth will be best at that time?' He said: 'A sturdy young servant who fetches water for his family, for as for food, there will be no food.'
