Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, who said: Abu Bakr, that is Ibn Abi Maryam, narrated to us, from the elders, from Fadalah bin Ubayd al-Ansari, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, taught me a healing incantation and ordered me to recite it over whomever appeared in need to me. He said: Say: Our Lord is Allah, who is in the heavens, holy is Your name; Your command is in the heavens and the earth. O Allah, just as Your mercy is in the heaven, so place Your mercy upon us on the earth. O Allah, Lord of the good, forgive us our sins, our wrongdoing, and our errors, and send down mercy from Your mercy and healing from Your healing upon what afflicts so-and-so of illness, so that he may recover. He said: And say that three times, then seek refuge with the two protective surahs three times.
