Ali bin Bahr narrated to us: al-Walid bin Muslim narrated to us, who said: al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Isma'il bin Ubaydullah bin Abi al-Muhajir, from Maysarah, freed slave of Fadalah, from Fadalah bin Ubayd, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, listens more attentively to a man with a beautiful voice reciting the Qur'an than the owner of a singing slave-girl listens to his singing girl.
