حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ نَازِلًا فِي دَارِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ قَالَ فَلَطَمَ خَادِمًا قَالَ فَغَضِبَ سُوَيْدٌ فَقَالَ أَمَا وَجَدْتَ إِلَّا حُرَّ وَجْهِهِ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَنَحْنُ سَابِعُ سَبْعَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ مُقَرِّنٍ وَمَا لَنَا خَادِمٌ إِلَّا وَاحِدٌ عَمَدَ إِلَيْهِ وَاحِدٌ فَلَطَمَهُ فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رَجَعْنَا أَنْ نُعْتِقَهُ فَأَعْتَقْنَاهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hushaym told us: Husayn informed us, from Hilal ibn Yisaf, that a man who was staying in the house of Suwayd ibn Muqarrin slapped a servant. Suwayd became angry and said: "Did you find nothing but his free face to strike? I recall myself, when we were the seventh of seven of the children of Muqarrin, and we had no servant but one; one of us went and slapped him, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us, when we returned, to free him, so we freed him."
