حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ السَّيِّدُ وَالْعَاقِبُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا أَمِينَكَ وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ مَرَّةً أَمِينًا قَالَ سَأَبْعَثُ مَعَكُمْ أَمِينًا حَقَّ أَمِينٍ قَالَ فَتَشَرَّفَ لَهَا النَّاسُ فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Silah b. Zufar, from Hudhayfah, he said: The Sayyid and the 'Aqib came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of God, send with us your trustworthy one" - Waki' said once: "a trustworthy man." He said: "I will send with you a truly trustworthy man." He said: So the people aspired to it, and he sent Abu 'Ubaydah b. al-Jarrah.
