Abu al-Nadr told us, al-Mubarak told us, al-Hasan told us, that an old man from Banu Salit informed him, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to speak to him about something that had befallen us in the pre-Islamic era. There he was, sitting, with a circle of people gathered around him, speaking to the people, wearing a thick cotton lower garment. The first thing I heard him say, while pointing with his two fingers, was: "The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him nor forsake him. Piety is here, piety is here" - meaning, in the heart.
