الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us: Abdullah — that is, Ibn Umar — narrated to us, from al-Abbas ibn Sahl al-Sa'idi, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to lean against a palm trunk, and he said: "The people have become numerous; if only I had something" — meaning, something to sit on. Abbas said: So my father went and cut the wood for the pulpit from the forest. He said: I do not know whether my father made it himself or had it made for him.
