حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي فَقَالَ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا يُصَلِّي مَعَهُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَصَلَّى مَعَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذَانِ جَمَاعَةٌ.

Ali ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn al-Mubarak told us, Yahya ibn Ayyub told us, from Ubaydullah ibn Zahr, from Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umamah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saw a man praying, and said: "Will not a man give charity to this one by praying with him?" So a man stood and prayed with him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "These two are a congregation."
