He said: And we complained to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was resting his head on a cloak of his in the shade of the Ka'bah. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you not seek Allah's help for us?" He sat up, his face reddened, and he said: "By Allah, those before you would be seized, and saws would be placed on their heads and they would be split into two halves, yet that would not turn them away from their religion. Allah, blessed and exalted is He, will surely complete this matter until a rider travels from Sana'a to Hadramawt fearing none but Allah, blessed and exalted is He, and the wolf for his sheep." Muhammad ibn Yazid told us, Isma'il told us, and he mentioned the like of it, except that he said "this world did not diminish them in the least" and "he would be combed with iron combs, tearing flesh and sinew down to the bone, and nothing would turn him from his religion."
