'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from 'Asim, from Abu Tamima al-Hujaymi, from someone who used to ride behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: I was riding behind him on a donkey, and the donkey stumbled. I said, "May Satan perish!" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me, "Do not say 'may Satan perish,' for when you say that, Satan grows greater in himself and says, 'I threw him down by my own strength.' But when you say 'In the name of Allah,' he shrinks until he becomes smaller than a fly."
