Mu'adh ibn Hisham told us, my father told me, from Qatadah, from Abu Nadrah, from Imran ibn Husayn, that a boy belonging to poor people cut off the ear of a boy belonging to wealthy people, so his family came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "O Prophet of Allah, we are poor people," so he did not impose anything upon him.
