Waki' told us, from Thawr, from a man of the people of Basra, from Muhammad ibn Maslamah, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "When Allah, Mighty and Sublime, casts into a man's heart the intention to propose to a woman, there is no harm in his looking at her."
