حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خَرَشَةَ قَالَ أَبِي وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خَرَشَةَ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ و حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ مِثْلَهُ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خَرَشَةَ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ وَلَمْ يُسْنِدْهُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا مَالِكٌ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ قَالَ جَاءَتْ الْجَدَّةُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ تَسْأَلُهُ مِيرَاثَهَا فَقَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَكِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَا أَعْلَمُ لَكِ فِي سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ فَسَأَلَ فَقَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ لَهَا السُّدُسَ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَشْهَدُ مَعَكَ أَوْ مَنْ يَعْلَمُ مَعَكَ فَقَامَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فَأَنْفَذَهُ لَهَا وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى هَلْ مَعَكَ غَيْرُكَ.

Ishaq ibn Sulayman — meaning al-Razi — told us, he said: I heard Malik ibn Anas — and Ishaq ibn Isa told us, he said: Malik informed me — from al-Zuhri, from Uthman ibn Kharashah — my father said, and Ishaq ibn Isa said "from Uthman ibn Kharashah" — Abdullah said: And Mus'ab al-Zubayri told us, from Malik, similarly, and he said "Uthman ibn Ishaq ibn Kharashah, of Banu Amir ibn Lu'ayy," and no one traced it back to al-Zuhri except Malik — from Qabisah ibn Dhu'ayb, who said: The grandmother came to Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, asking him for her inheritance. He said, "I do not know of anything for you in the Book of Allah, nor do I know of anything for you in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, until I ask the people." So he asked, and al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, assign her a sixth." He said, "Who will testify with you, or who knows this with you?" Muhammad ibn Maslamah stood up and said the same, so he carried it out for her. Ishaq ibn Isa said the wording: "Is there anyone with you besides yourself?"
