حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا دَعَا فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَقَدْ خَالَفُوا قُتَيْبَةَ فِي إِسْنَادِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَأَحْسِبُ قُتَيْبَةَ وَهِمَ فِيهِ يَقُولُونَ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Hafs ibn Hashim ibn Utbah ibn Abi Waqqas, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, from his father, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he supplicated and raised his hands, would wipe his face with his hands. Abdullah said: They have disagreed with Qutaybah regarding the chain of this hadith, and I think Qutaybah erred in it; they say it is from Khallad ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father.
