حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَعْظَمُ الْغُلُولِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ذِرَاعٌ مِنْ الْأَرْضِ تَجِدُونَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ جَارَيْنِ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ فِي الدَّارِ فَيَقْتَطِعُ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْ حَظِّ صَاحِبِهِ ذِرَاعًا فَإِذَا اقْتَطَعَهُ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

Abd al-Malik b. Amr narrated to us: Zuhayr, meaning Ibn Muhammad, narrated to us, from Abdullah, meaning Ibn Muhammad b. Aqil, from Ata' b. Yasar, from Abu Malik al-Ashja'i, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "The greatest misappropriation before Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is a cubit of land: you find two men, neighbors in land or in a house, and one of them takes a cubit from the share of his companion; if he takes it, he will be encircled with it from seven earths on the Day of Resurrection."
