Muhammad b. Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us, who said: I heard Mansur narrating from al-Sha'bi, from al-Miqdam Abu Karima, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Upon every Muslim, hosting a guest for one night is an obligatory right; if he spends the morning at his doorstep, it is a debt upon him; if he wishes he may claim it, and if he wishes he may forgo it."
