حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيَبْلُغَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ مَا بَلَغَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَلَا يَتْرُكُ اللَّهُ بَيْتَ مَدَرٍ وَلَا وَبَرٍ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِعِزِّ عَزِيزٍ أَوْ بِذُلِّ ذَلِيلٍ عِزًّا يُعِزُّ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْإِسْلَامَ وَذُلًّا يُذِلُّ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْكُفْرَ وَكَانَ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ يَقُولُ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ ذَلِكَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي لَقَدْ أَصَابَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْهُمْ الْخَيْرُ وَالشَّرَفُ وَالْعِزُّ وَلَقَدْ أَصَابَ مَنْ كَانَ مِنْهُمْ كَافِرًا الذُّلُّ وَالصَّغَارُ وَالْجِزْيَةُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Mughirah told us: Safwan ibn Sulaym told us: Sulaym ibn Amir told me, from Tamim al-Dari, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "This matter will surely reach as far as night and day reach, and Allah will not leave a house of clay or of hair (tent) without this religion entering it, either with the might of a mighty one or the abasement of an abased one — a might by which Allah honors Islam, and an abasement by which Allah humiliates disbelief." And Tamim al-Dari used to say: "I have seen that among my own household — those of them who accepted Islam attained good, honor, and might, while those of them who remained disbelievers met abasement, humiliation, and the jizyah."
