حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّ رَوْحَ بْنَ زِنْبَاعٍ زَارَ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ فَوَجَدَهُ يُنَقِّي شَعِيرًا لِفَرَسِهِ قَالَ وَحَوْلَهُ أَهْلُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَوْحٌ أَمَا كَانَ فِي هَؤُلَاءِ مَنْ يَكْفِيكَ قَالَ تَمِيمٌ بَلَى وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يُنَقِّي لِفَرَسِهِ شَعِيرًا ثُمَّ يُعَلِّقُهُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَبَّةٍ حَسَنَةٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.

Abu al-Mughira said: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, saying: Shurahbil ibn Muslim al-Khawlani narrated to me: that Rawh ibn Zinba' visited Tamim al-Dari and found him cleaning barley for his horse, with his family gathered around him. Rawh said to him: 'Was there no one among these who could suffice you?' Tamim said: 'Yes, but I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: There is no Muslim man who cleans barley for his horse and then hangs it for him, but for every grain a good deed is recorded for him.' al-Haytham ibn Kharija narrated to us: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us from Shurahbil ibn Muslim, and he mentioned the like of this hadith.
