حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَامِرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَتُوُفِّيَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ وَتُوُفِّيَ عُمَرُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ وَأَنَا الْيَوْمَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ.

Rawh narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us, saying: Abu Ishaq narrated to us, saying: I heard 'Amir ibn Sa'd say: I heard Jarir ibn 'Abdullah say: I heard Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan say, while delivering a sermon: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, died at the age of sixty-three, and Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, died at the age of sixty-three, and 'Umar died at the age of sixty-three.' Mu'awiya said: 'And today I am sixty-three years old.'
