قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ خَلَّادٍ أَخَا بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ ظَالِمًا أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ وَكَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ عَدْلٌ وَلَا صَرْفٌ.

He said: Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Hashimi told us: Isma'il ibn Ja'far informed us: Yazid informed me, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa'sa'ah al-Ansari, that Ata' ibn Yasar informed him, that al-Sa'ib ibn Khallad, brother of Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj, informed him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever frightens the people of Medina unjustly, Allah will frighten him, and upon him shall be the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people together; neither an obligatory deed nor a voluntary one will be accepted from him.
