حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُرَحْبِيلٌ عَنْ عُوَيْمِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَاهُمْ فِي مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ أَحْسَنَ عَلَيْكُمْ الثَّنَاءَ فِي الطُّهُورِ فِي قِصَّةِ مَسْجِدِكُمْ فَمَا هَذَا الطُّهُورُ الَّذِي تَطَّهَّرُونَ بِهِ قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا نَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَنَا جِيرَانٌ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ فَكَانُوا يَغْسِلُونَ أَدْبَارَهُمْ مِنْ الْغَائِطِ فَغَسَلْنَا كَمَا غَسَلُوا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Husayn ibn Muhammad told us: Abu Uways told us: Shurahbil told us, from Uwaym ibn Sa'idah al-Ansari, that he told him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to them at the mosque of Quba' and said: "Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has indeed given you good praise regarding purification, in the matter of your mosque - so what is this purification with which you purify yourselves?" They said: "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we know nothing special, except that we had neighbors among the Jews, and they used to wash their behinds after relieving themselves, so we washed as they washed."
