الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Asim al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad told us, from Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib informed me that Ata wrote mentioning that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say in the year of the Conquest: "God, Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of pigs, the sale of carrion, the sale of wine, and the sale of idols." A man said: "O Messenger of God, what do you think of the fat of carrion, for ships and hides are greased with it, and it is used for lighting?" The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "May God fight the Jews. When God forbade them its fat, they took it, rendered it down, then sold it and ate its price."
