الترجمة الإنجليزية
Suwayd ibn 'Amr al-Kalbi told us, Aban told us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: While the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was sitting among his companions, a Jew passed by them and gave the greeting of peace. When he had gone, he called him and said: "What did you say?" He said: "I said: Death be upon you." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any of the People of the Book greets you, say: 'And upon you,' meaning whatever you said."
