حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ الْفَرَسِ عَلَى آخِيَّتِهِ يَجُولُ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى آخِيَّتِهِ وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَسْهُو ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu 'Abd al-Rahman told us, saying: Sa'id ibn Abi Ayyub told us, 'Abdullah ibn al-Walid told us, from Abu Sulayman al-Laythi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said, "The example of the believer is like the example of a horse tethered to its stake; it roams about, then returns to its stake. And indeed, the believer may forget, then he returns to faith."
