Bahz told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Muhammad — meaning Ibn Ziyad — from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever food was brought to him, would ask about it; if it was charity, he would not eat it, but if it was a gift, he would eat it.
