حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، فِي هَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ إِذًا يَمُوتُ مِنَ الْجُوعِ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَيَسْأَلَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعَ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Awza'i (upon him be mercy) narrates regarding the same incident that it was said to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), in that case he will die of hunger. So he permitted him to come twice a week; he would come, ask for food, and return.
الترجمة الأردية
اوزاعی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ سے اسی واقعے کے سلسلے میں مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا گیا: یا رسول اللہ! تب تو وہ بھوک سے مر جائے گا۔ تو آپ نے اسے ہفتے میں دو بار آنے کی اجازت دے دی، وہ آتا اور کھانا مانگ کر واپس چلا جاتا۔
