حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ، كَانَتْ إِذَا حَاضَتْ مِنْهُمُ امْرَأَةٌ أَخْرَجُوهَا مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يُؤَاكِلُوهَا وَلَمْ يُشَارِبُوهَا وَلَمْ يُجَامِعُوهَا فِي الْبَيْتِ فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ { وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ } إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " جَامِعُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ وَاصْنَعُوا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ غَيْرَ النِّكَاحِ " . فَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ مَا يُرِيدُ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَدَعَ شَيْئًا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا إِلاَّ خَالَفَنَا فِيهِ . فَجَاءَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالاَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ تَقُولُ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَفَلاَ نَنْكِحُهُنَّ فِي الْمَحِيضِ فَتَمَعَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنْ قَدْ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِمَا فَخَرَجَا فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْهُمَا هَدِيَّةٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَعَثَ فِي آثَارِهِمَا فَسَقَاهُمَا فَظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَجِدْ عَلَيْهِمَا .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: Among the Jews, when a woman menstruated, they would expel her from the house, neither eating with her, nor drinking with her, nor dwelling with her in the same house. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was asked about this, whereupon Allah the Exalted revealed: 'They ask you about menstruation. Say: It is an impurity, so keep away from women during menstruation' — until the end of the verse. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Associate with them in the houses and do everything except intercourse.' Hearing this, the Jews said: 'This man does not wish to leave any matter of ours without opposing us in it.' Then Hadrat Usayd ibn Hudayr and Hadrat Abbad ibn Bishr (may Allah be well pleased with them) came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the Jews say such and such. Should we not then have intercourse during menstruation?' Upon hearing this, the blessed countenance of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) changed, until we thought he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was displeased with them. They went out, and just then a gift of milk arrived for the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent for them and gave them milk to drink. Then we realized that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was not displeased with them.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ یہود کے ہاں جب ان کی عورتوں میں سے کسی کو حیض آتا تو وہ اسے گھر سے نکال دیتے، نہ اس کے ساتھ کھاتے پیتے، نہ ایک گھر میں رہتے۔ اس بارے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے دریافت کیا گیا تو اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی: ﴿وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ﴾ آیت کے آخر تک۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ان کے ساتھ گھروں میں رہو اور سب کچھ کرو سوائے جماع کے۔ یہ سن کر یہودیوں نے کہا: یہ شخص ہمارے ہر معاملے میں ہماری مخالفت ہی کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ پھر حضرت اسید بن حضیر اور حضرت عباد بن بشر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہود ایسی ایسی باتیں کرتے ہیں، تو کیا ہم حالتِ حیض میں جماع نہ کریں؟ یہ سن کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا چہرۂ انور متغیر ہو گیا، یہاں تک کہ ہم نے گمان کیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان دونوں پر ناراض ہو گئے ہیں۔ وہ دونوں باہر نکلے تو اتنے میں دودھ کا ہدیہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آیا، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان دونوں کو بلا بھیجا اور انہیں دودھ پلایا۔ تب ہمیں معلوم ہوا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان سے ناراض نہیں ہیں۔
