حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ غَانِمٍ - عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زِيَادَ بْنَ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زِيَادَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيَّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَايَعْتُهُ فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلاً قَالَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ أَعْطِنِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى لَمْ يَرْضَ بِحُكْمِ نَبِيٍّ وَلاَ غَيْرِهِ فِي الصَّدَقَاتِ حَتَّى حَكَمَ فِيهَا هُوَ فَجَزَّأَهَا ثَمَانِيَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْ تِلْكَ الأَجْزَاءِ أَعْطَيْتُكَ حَقَّكَ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ziyad ibn al-Harith al-Suda'i (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: I came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and pledged allegiance to him -- then he mentioned a lengthy hadith -- he said: A man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: Give me from the sadaqah. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated to him: 'Indeed, Allah was not pleased with the judgement of any the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or anyone else regarding the distribution of sadaqat, so He Himself decreed concerning them and divided them into eight categories. If you belong to one of those categories, I shall give you your rightful share.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت زیاد بن حارث صُدائی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمتِ اقدس میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے بیعت کی — پھر ایک طویل حدیث بیان کی — فرمایا: ایک شخص آپ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: مجھے صدقے میں سے عطا فرمائیے — رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس سے ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ صدقات کے معاملے میں نہ کسی نبی کے فیصلے پر راضی ہوا نہ کسی اور کے — بلکہ خود اس نے فیصلہ فرمایا اور اسے آٹھ حصوں میں تقسیم کیا — اگر تم ان حصوں میں سے ہو تو میں تمہیں تمہارا حق عطا کروں گا۔
