Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9821a حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «إِقَامُ الصَّلَاةِ لِوَقْتِهَا» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَهْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَهْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» ثُمَّ سَكَتَ وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْتُهُ لَزَادَنِي
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn al-Minhal, from Hammad ibn Salamah, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are best?' He said: 'Establishing prayer at its time.' I said: 'Then what?' He said: 'Then dutifulness to parents.' I said: 'Then what?' He said: 'Then jihad in the cause of Allah.' Then he fell silent, and had I asked him for more, he would have given me more.
