Yahya ibn Ayyub narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Maryam, from Yahya ibn Ayyub, from Ubaydullah ibn Zahr, from Ali ibn Yazid, from al-Qasim, from Abu Umamah, from Ibn Mas'ud who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'A time will come upon the people when you will envy a man for having few responsibilities, as you envy people today for having much wealth and children. Until one of you passes by the grave of his brother and rolls upon it as an animal rolls in its pasture, saying: Would that I were in his place. It will not be out of longing for Allah or any good deed he sent ahead, but because of the afflictions that befall him.'
