Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:863 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْمُؤَذِّنُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عُدَيْسَةَ بِنْتِ أُهْبَانَ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ قَالَتْ حَيْثُ قَدِمَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْبَصْرَةَ جَاءَ إِلَى أَبِي فَقَامَ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ قَالَ أَلَا تَخْرُجُ فَتُعِينَنِي عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ؟ قَالَ بَلَى إِنْ شِئْتَ يَا جَارِيَةُ نَاوِلِينِي السَّيْفَ فَنَاوَلَتْهُ السَّيْفَ فَوَضَعَهُ فِي حِجْرِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَلَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ خَلِيلِي وَابْنَ عَمِّكَ ﷺ أَمَرَنِي إِذَا كَانَ قِتَالٌ بَيْنَ قَبِيلَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنِ اتَّخِذَ سَيْفًا مِنْ خَشَبٍ» فَاسْتَلَّ بَعْضَهُ وَهُوَ فِي حِجْرِهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيكَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Udaysah bint Uhban ibn Sayfi narrated: When 'Ali ibn Abi Talib came to Basrah, he came to my father and stood at the door, greeted them and said: "Will you not come out and help me against these people?" He said: "Yes, if you wish." Then he said: "O girl, hand me the sword," and she handed it to him. He placed it in his lap and drew it, saying: "My dear friend and your cousin (peace be upon him) commanded me that if there is fighting between two tribes of Muslims, I should take a sword of wood." He partly drew it while it was in his lap and said: "If you wish, I will come out with you with this." He said: "I have no need for you."
