Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8469 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي قَدْ قَتَلْتُ أَبَا جَهْلٍ قَالَ «اللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ لَأَنْتَ قَتَلْتَهُ؟» قُلْتُ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ لَأَنَا قَتَلْتُهُ فَاسْتَخَفَّهُ الْفَرَحُ فَقَالَ «مُرَّ أَرِنِيهِ» فَانْطَلَقْتُ بِهِ حَتَّى وَقَفْتُ بِهِ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَخْزَاكَ هَذَا فِرْعَوْنُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ جُرُّوهُ إِلَى الْقَلِيبِ» قَالَ وَقَدْ كُنْتُ ضَرَبْتُهُ بِسَيْفِي فَلَمْ يَحُكَّ فِيهِ فَأَخَذْتُ سَيْفَهُ فَضَرَبْتُهُ بِهِ حَتَّى قَتَلْتُهُ فَنَفَّلَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَيْفَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abdullah said: I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Badr and said: "I have killed Abu Jahl." He said: "By Allah besides Whom there is no god, it is you who killed him?" I said: "By Allah besides Whom there is no god, I killed him." He was so overjoyed that he said: "Go, show him to me!" I took him until I stopped him over Abu Jahl's head. He said: "Praise be to Allah who has disgraced you. This is the Pharaoh of this nation. Drag him to the well." 'Abdullah said: I had struck him with my sword but it had no effect, so I took his sword and struck him with it until I killed him. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) granted me his sword as spoils.
