Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8139 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّازَّقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ مَا أَرَى الدِّيَةَ إِلَّا لِلْعَصَبَةِ لِأَنَّهُمْ يَعْقِلُونَ عَنْهُ فَهَلْ مَعَ أَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا؟ فَقَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْكِلَابِيُّ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الْأَعْرَابِ كَتَبَ إ��لَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أُوَرِّثَ امْرَأَةَ أَشْيَمٍ الضِّبَابِيِّ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا فَأَخَذَ بِذَلِكَ عُمَرُ ؓ
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I do not see the blood money except for the male relatives, because they are the ones who pay it on his behalf. Does anyone among you have anything from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about this?" Al-Dahhak ibn Sufyan al-Kilabi - and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had appointed him over the Bedouins - said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) wrote to me that I should give the wife of Ashyam al-Dibabi her inheritance from her husband's blood money." So 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) adopted that ruling.
