Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8135 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ الضَّحَّاكَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ كَتَبَ إِلَى قَيْسِ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ حِينَ مَاتَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ الدُّخَانِ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا قَلْبُ الرَّجُلِ كَمَا يَمُوتُ بَدَنُهُ يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا يَبِيعُ فِيهَا أَقْوَامٌ أَخْلَاقَهُمْ وَدِينَهُمْ بِعَرَضٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا» وَإِنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَدْ مَاتَ وَأَنْتُمْ إِخْوَانُنَا وَأَشِقَّاؤُنَا فَلَا تَسْبِقُونَا بِشَيْءٍ حَتَّى نَخْتَارَ لِأَنْفُسِنَا
انگریزی ترجمہ
Al-Dahhak ibn Qays wrote to Qays ibn al-Haytham when Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah died: Peace be upon you. To proceed: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Before the Hour there will be tribulations like pieces of dark night, tribulations like pieces of smoke in which a man's heart dies as his body dies. A man wakes up a believer and goes to sleep a disbeliever, and goes to sleep a believer and wakes up a disbeliever. In them, people will sell their character and religion for a small portion of this world." Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah has died, and you are our brothers and our halves, so do not precede us in anything until we choose for ourselves.
