Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6387 حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَبُو غِفَارٍ ثنا أَبُو تَمِيمَةَ الْهُجَيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جُرَيٍّ قَالَ انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ وَالنَّاسُ لَا يَصْدُرُونَ إِلَّا عَنْ قَوْلِهِ قُلْتُ بِاللهِ لِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا هَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُلْتُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ لَا تَقُلْ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ؛ فَإِنَّهَا تَحِيَّةُ الْمَيِّتِ وَلَكِنْ قُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Jurayy said: "I reached a man and the people would not move except by his word. I said: 'By Allah, who is this man?' They said: 'This is the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).' I said: 'Upon you be peace, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Do not say "upon you be peace," for that is the greeting for the dead. Rather say "peace be upon you."'" Then he mentioned a similar narration.
